Faded Jeans Living

Alice is a pit bull mix, approximately 1 yr, and weighs 23 pounds. I got her from the Pikes Peak Humane Society in Colorado Springs. When my son, Bob, and I went there last Sunday I was honestly only 45% onboard in getting one. We went up and down the aisles and I wrote a few dogs information down and was basically ready to go and think more about it.

As I was ready to leave, Bob said let’s go look at “Alice” one more time so we did. Then he suggested we ask a volunteer if we could meet her. Like I said I wasn’t completely onboard, but I’ve never seen Bob with such a big smile! They took us into a room and we had to sit on the floor so she wouldn’t be scared. Once Alice buried her head into me, I knew she was now part of our family.

I couldn’t be happier! She has brought such light and love into my days. I leaned into faith and boy was I ever rewarded.
