Onesong

I recently visited Capulin Volcano National Monument in New Mexico. As I was hiking around the rim looking out in the vastness in all directions, I was telling my friends about Wayne Dyer and how he described that the word Universe could be broken down to uni meaning one and verse meaning song, and that our job is to be aware of and listen to the onesong and get in rhythm with it.

Wayne states:

“No matter how we separate into individual little notes, we are all still involved in the onesong.”

“The harmony will be felt within you, and it will radiate out to make the onesong a rapturous melody, totally in tune, harmonizing with all of the individual notes that make up this universe!”

Well last night I was reading a book called The Seed: Finding purpose and happiness in life and work by Jon Gordon and came across this:

“…it occurred to me that the word universe literally means one song.”

“the one song is an expression of the ultimate creator.”

“I have come to believe that we are a part of the one song. We exist to create the symphony of life. Each one of us has a note to play, and you can’t play anyone else’s note. Your job is to play your note and contribute to the one song. It’s a note you were destined to play from before you were born. And when you discover it and play it with joy to the best of your ability, the creator smiles.”

I feel this a sign I’m on the right path toward my note.

Do you believe in “signs”?

Peace,

Dwight🦋

  2. That’s a beautiful post, Dwight. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and the quotes. I find that being out in nature is a great way to have deep thoughts about the meaning of life and our existence (as an aside, we loved visiting Capulin a few years back).

I hope you will find your note (I’m still looking for mine). 🎵

    Best,

    Tanja

    1. I feel the same way, Tanja. We’re surrounded by such goodness and being able to breathe it all in brings so much peace. We create our special note in the now.❤️

  3. Sure do! Great post! Earlier this week I went to park at our local grocery store and a vehicle with a cute beagle puppy pulled in next to me. The puppy stared at me and was super happy. Came out of the grocery store ( rather quick in and out too ) and a new vehicle was next to me but with a beagle in it as well! That beagle wasn’t a puppy but looked at me happily. I told Avery funny they were both Beagles and both happy to see me. ( or anyone really, just happy dogs ) I think it was a sign that my late doggie was saying hi. My Minnie was the greatest dog ever so I took a few minutes thinking of her. ❤️ I took pics of both doggies but I don’t see an option to add them in a comment.

  4. Sure do, Dwight – both ‘good’ signs that I am on the right path and ‘warning’ signs that I have totally wandered off of it.
