“Take Five”

Dave Brubeck – Take Five

To be 58—soon to be 59—and awake at 2 AM with bursts of the soul glimmering through is a wonderful thing. Alive. Full of appreciation and the joy of life. Sitting with goodness instead of the traffic of darkness, numbness, and the hollow “I’m fine.”

Discovering there’s more of the show to come, as giddiness stirs from lifetimes ago. What a trip life is. It couldn’t unfold any other way—the unpacking, the spiraling within, the ever-unfolding self.

Grateful,

Dwight 🦋

    1. I’m not a fan of this user interface either. Seems like they just keep marking it more cumbersome. Hope you had a nice birthday my friend.😊❤️

  3. Dwight!! How are youuuu? I’m having one of those I can’t sleep but should be moments – it’s 4:30am – ish and you popped in my mind – I hope you are well my friend. Life just keeps providing those twists and turns – my mind still plays tricks on me that I am in danger somehow – but it’s nice to hear that you can be ok at 2am. So I will try to be ok at 4:)
    Thank you for sharing 🌈♥️♥️🙏

    1. Hey Danielle! I somehow lost you off my feed. I’m not a fan of this JetPack at all! Life is definitely a trip but working on reconnecting is such good work. Big hugs my friend🤗

  6. nice to see you back and so joyful. And you are right, there something in getting older that makes you see things with far more delightfulness especially if you know there can be none at times.

have a great day my friend♥️

  7. It has been a while, Dwight. It’s nice to know that you are joyful and grateful when lying awake in the middle of the night–I’m envious.

    Happy (almost) birthday to you.

    1. Hey Tanja. Thanks. It has been awhile. I don’t make it out here to WordPress as much as I use to. I think a lot of it is in general the constant updates from Jetpack that just keep me shaking my head wondering why. That plus finding connections with others seemed to get harder and harder. Change is inevitable though. May make it down to the museum next year with a couple friends. It’s probably been over 20 years since my list visit. I hope you are doing well, Tanja. I’ll click over and see what’s new with you! Big hugs.

      1. Thank you for your lines, Dwight. Blogging has to come from the heart and there are times when we aren’t very inspired. And sometimes we have to move on to other things.
I hope you will make it back to the museum some time. It was closed for a whole year to get the HVAC system replaced but it’s back open with many fascinating exhibits. We are offering drop-in tours on Saturdays at 11 AM and on Tuesdays at 1:30 PM. Of course, you can always explore on your own.
I wish you a happy holiday season.
        Warmly,
        Tanja
