It’s that Time of the Year

Time to get out of the house and go on a mini adventure. The weather has cooled off and the colors are changing. Throw a coat and a water bottle in the back seat of the car and go explore a nearby town. This is definitely my time of year.

Over the last month, I’ve been running the roads. I saw the group Train in an outdoor concert, explored nearby towns, talked with ghosts in a cemetery, admired some fall colors, and walked a dirt road.

We forget the fun we had exploring as kids. It’s time to bring it back. There’s plenty of wonder, beauty, and goodness that surrounds us. You don’t have to go far or spend a lot of money. If those around you don’t want go, go anyway.

EXPLORE!

The plans are in place as I head to bed

Excitement is bouncing off the walls

What new discoveries will be found

I awake and bam I’m off

Banging into things because I’m so excited

Tunes are cranked

Windows down

I’m 59 but at this very moment I’m 10 years old again exploring my 100 acre wood on Smith Drive

      1. We would all love that! Dan, MOLLY, and I. Jen & family would love that too. We have always encouraged them to take that opportunity to have an adventure. Genie spent a season traveling across Canada with a Midway company a couple of years ago. Rory just got back from doing the same thing. ☺️

      1. I have to go a ways to get out in nature, Dwight. Texas Hill Country is hours away. Nearby, the best I can do are small parks and fountains. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Please join us as some of the most nefarious and lovable ghosts of the Gold Camp share their life stories. The Gold Camp Victorian Society, dedicated to the preservation of the history of Cripple Creek, hosts this unique tour. Complete with character reenactments at different locations throughout Mt. 1. Thanks, Elizabeth. Love to hear how you’re doing in a post. Get out and take some pics of what makes you smile in your area. My next one might be on coming back home to WordPress after being so over social media and “the news”.
