Check out my first minimalism post if you haven’t already for a little context.
Guidelines – sell, donate
Day 1 – get rid of 1 item
Day 2 – get rid of 2 items
Day 3 – get rid of 3 items
And so on for 30 days
After 30 days create a blog post on your experience with some of the items you got rid of and how you now feel. Even if you can only get rid of 1 item per day, then please still partake. Start anytime, just has to be 30 consecutive days.
Here’s week two – total of 77 items

Week 2 complete. Still have more areas in my house prior to heading out to the garage. So as I’m removing items I’m organizing a bit along the way. Feeling good, feeling lighter.
Take it easy,
Dwight😊
This is AWESOME!!!!! I love cleaning out stuff. Makes me feel like I’ve gotten rid of extra baggage!!!!

Definitely…crazy how it all adds up to bunch of stuff you never use.

So true!! I brought over a trunk load of stuff to my parents to give to goodwill last weekend. They kept asking me if I was done everytime I went to get more stuff. Lol! Now I have less stuff I don’t need, someone else who may need it has access to it and my parents can use the tax write off for donations if they want.

Good job, Dwight! I tried but… Started by checking our basement. I have spent about four days down there and I am at about day 73 🙄

I really like this idea Dwight but I wouldn’t know where to start! I occasionally clear out a cupboard and it does feel good but I also have a thing about rubbish and waste so I find myself thinking – I might use that one day and visualising landfill so back in the cupboard it goes! 💞💞

I hear you. I’ve been able to donate probably 98% so far, and I figure that 2% is going to end up in trash anyway. Either I do it now or my kids end up doing it after I’m gone. I definitely makes you rethink buying/bringing things into your home.
