I think that’s the human condition, Dwight, but not all pay attention to it because it’s hard work. But so worth the challenge… doing “the work” with eyes and heart of curiosity, non-judgment, kindness & compassion is key… not easy but mindfulness helps. When you find yourself off track and harsh, gently coming back to your “softer” self over and over…. Don’t believe everything you think. Bear hugs.

This exact sentiment is expressed in the German saying ” Stell Dir mal vor es ist Krieg, und keiner geht hin” (imagine there is a war and nobody attends) which was widespread when I grew up in Germany. That was a long time ago and we are still dreaming of a world without war. 😢
