The highway of life

“About a year ago, Elton [John] came and found me in a ditch by the side of the highway of life. He took me up to the high stages with big audiences and treated me like a King and the only thing I can say is bless your heart and thank you very much, I appreciate it, and … Hallelujah.”

– Leon Russel, 2011 being inducted into the Rock and Roll of Fame

Incredible. Those words “highway of life”, what they stir inside after living numerous decades and watching the images fly by. Good. Bad. Happy. Sad. Shocking. Loving. Crying. Dying. Living. Striving. Stopping. Resting. Renewing.

Sometimes driving, sometimes riding. Sometimes flying, sometimes coasting. Sometimes broken down waiting.

Sometimes thrown and landing in a ditch.

The one common theme throughout. The one common theme throughout is love.

LOVE.

Love is our most greatest natural resource and most underutilized. Love is the brightest light that shines within and outwards to unite all of us. Don’t hide it inside. Be couragous. Be vulnerable. Tell that someone who needs to hear this message.

You are Love. You are Loved.

No matter where you are on this highway of life please know this. Always.

Peace,

Dwight
