More on Clean & Sober

It’s the little things like doing something healthy for myself, cleaning up, and throwing on an old t-shirt and comfortable shorts that light me up now❤️

For some reason this morning, I was feeling extra “clean” after a short jog and shower. Some of you will get it. Looking into the mirror I was hit with much gratitude for being able to smile big on how much better my life has been with alcohol no longer swimming throughout my body. My god is it ever good! Feeling so fresh and awake and believe me when I say I DON’T MISS THAT SHIT!!!

So many frickin years literally wasted looking at life with bloodshot eyes in the mornings.

It’s days like today that just fill me up with love for myself. Finally being able to break the chains and finding freedom. If you are quitting alcohol keep the faith my friend. So so worth it.

I thought I’d check how long it’s been …3.5 years. It’s like the great spirit was nudging me that today would be a good day to celebrate my sobriety. It keeps getting better and better.

Peace,

Dwight 🦋

  3. I stopped drinking on August 24, 2022, and had two glasses of wine last night that I didn’t enjoy that much. So, I start again today. September 4, 2022.

  9. Hey Dwight – came across this article here in England and it reminded me of your “over sharing” post. Supports your message, particularly for men, of just speaking out about your experience. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/male-depression-suicide-helpline-mental-health-b2175307.html
