It’s okay if we can’t see the big picture yet. Move forward with what is resonating within now!

Have you ever had an idea of what you wanted to do or become, and then your thoughts talked you out of it because there’s no possible way you could succeed? What instead of negating our ideas so fast, we started to slowly brew a small action in our new interest. No huge declaration to the universe. No big investments where we leverage our life savings. Just a small little brewing off to the side where our thoughts don’t feel threatened and try to beat it down. Yes, it is pretty fricked up we might need to do this dance, but the saying know thyself is pretty right on.
I’m guessing many of us have felt this way. Our thoughts will say we’re not smart enough, talented enough, young enough, or where in the hell are you going to come up with the money to partake in that adventure?
Even though everyone says to ignore those thoughts and fears they still feel very real. Right? What instead of going after the “whole prize” we just explore one very small piece. We don’t have to master it and own it. We can pretend we’re back in our youth exploring that old house in the woods. If we open the door and hear a thug upstairs, no problem, run like hell back home. After you’ve calmed down and are ready to peak again, give it another try. See how long you can stay after you’ve opened “that” door.
The big picture doesn’t have to be clear at this stage. We’re growing it as we go. We just need an interest to explore and put in some research and tiny actions. Remember, we didn’t signup for anything yet. Nobody has to know of this new thing. The costs don’t need to be high at this stage and shouldn’t be high! You don’t need the top of the line X to get started. There’s tons of information on the internet to help you get educated without having to go back to university or signing up for a 10 course program costing big bucks. Get creative. Join a an interest group like Meetup or take 1 course on something like Udemy or LinkIn Learning. Heck, just go to the library and checkout a free book on your interest and while you’re there ask a librarian for more information.
The point is take a step toward your interest. You don’t have to have everything figured out and this stage and if you do, well that might not be a good thing …ha. What’s interesting is as you move along you also start carving out your own custom path. Keep alert. Is this your direction or someone else’s? Stay on YOUR path even if it’s a bit messy and confusing at times. Have faith in yourself.
You are more than worthy and capable of accomplishing your dreams. It does indeed seem more than overwhelming at times and scary. Often if we haven’t beaten ourselves down over and over, those in our environment may have. You must remember though you were intended here for much goodness and to completely shine. It’s already all in the acorn. Start your small brew today!
Peace,
Dwight
Would love to hear what’s brewing in your world?
