Ten Thousand Doors

So many doors.

As I approach, the one with the most discomfort draws me toward it.

I take a deep breath and twist, push, and slowly step inside.
Before me stands my world, clearer than before, with another filter vanquished.

More goodness is discovered.
I’m grateful for my ten thousand doors.

  1. Absolutely love the mastery of the imagery entwined with the minimal wording, perfection my friend, perfection!!!
IMPO, the reason we are drawn to the door with the most discomfort is that we feel drawn to what we know, and for many of us the image of discomfort is the “comfort” of what we know or identify with!

    Really dig your writing brother!
