7 Years Sober

Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you reach the point of being truly sick and tired of being sick and tired—and you choose to do something about it.

Today I honor February 16, 2019—not my first attempt at sobriety, but the day it finally held. The day I gave myself a real chance to live this beautiful life. I knew there had to be light behind the clouds; I never knew how bright it could be.

Forever grateful,

Dwight

  2. What a week! You turned 60, you retired, and you’re 7-years sober. Now you have all the time and, more importantly, the clarity to enjoy it. Congratulations, Dwight. I just hit 7 weeks sober on your anniversary. Your 7-years is inspiring. Onward and upward!
