These are my friends Kim and Paul whom I’ve known for 20 years. They’ve been with me through the good, bad, and ugly. I’ve heard it said several times you will only rise to the level of the people you hang out with. Well let me tell you they have definitely helped me rise uP. Just the kindest biggest heart folks you’ll ever meet. Just look at them … you can feel that love can’t you?
As I was putting the bike on the car to go meet them it was just like frickin Christmas morning. All fired up! Couldn’t have been the two cups of coffee and AC/DC cranking on my phone? We had a great time connecting and as always I felt very loved and fortunate afterwards.
Thinking of getting some new duct tape for my 1991 Specialized Rock Hopper seat. What do you think? 😀. It feels good that after 30 years this contraption still brings me joy and we’re still together!
Week 21 of 52
So to keep it all real the week prior (20) to this I tanked. Flopped! Stick a fork in me I’m done. It’s definitely been a roller coaster Jekyll and Hyde show here. I worked out maybe twice and that was it. It happens to us humans, so don’t feel bad when you also hit the wall. Just don’t stay there. Go over, around, or blow er up!
This week I about went down the same path, but pulled myself out on Friday as you can tell from my last post. The word worky in my journal means worky worky and using that as an excuse to not do other shit. Sacrificing my daily practices never ends well and never gets me ahead at work. In fact it actually makes it worst. I’m learning …. put your oxygen mask on first!
I’ll leave you for now with my pick of Instagram post of the week:
Sending hugs and love to all you disco balls 🕺
